Indian Institute of Science
Summer Research Intern | Bangalore, India
June 2013 - July 2013

Worked as a solar systems research intern at IISc

IISc was my first exposure to research and learning and much of my interest for R&D stems from my short but fruitful stint there.
I learnt to analyze the efficiency of different Silicon Solar Cells through a study of their methodologies and structure.

The experience helped me recognize the concomitant performance limits and challenges faced by the solar industry in terms of energy storage or even economic viability given the diminishing stock of conventional mineral fuels.

During this period, I also accessed many journals and papers, such as emerging technologies like the tethered solar power satellites as well as advancements in Algae fuel production. The latter became the basis for  the biofuel research project that I carried out the following term.

Building efficient, economical and sustainable devices, has ever since been a passion and goal of mine.
